Italian Job – More please!

We are fresh back from the stunning medieval Umbrian hill town of Gubbio having delivered yet another highly successful Italian Job.  Our Midlands based client wanted a sales incentive reward for their top sales people and partners and so we suggested the converted 16th monastery that is the Park Hotel (www.parkhotelaicappuccini.it) in Gubbio coupled with one of our trademark treasure hunts around Umbria.  On arrival Friday the guests were greeted with welcome drinks before a walk into town for a traditional dinner inside the town walls.  Saturday saw the teams drive around the region solving clues with the aid of Tom Tom sat navs taking in Asissi, Spello, Camerino and Sassoferato.  The event finished at a hill top bar overlooking Gubbio where all answers were collected.  A gala dinner and prize giving, in Italian Job fancy dress, ensued on Saturday evening in one of the stunning private dining rooms at the Park Hotel.

Sunday was free for guests to explore the town, shopping, eating and chilling Italian style before a BBQ dinner at the hotel.  Monday saw us returning to the UK and back to reality.

We get many enquiries about our Italian Job but clients have normally been put off by the cost however, we have put our latest trip to good use and can now offer an Italian Job event in the Park Hotel complete with the treasure hunt, town dinner and Gala dinner for a minimum of 12 for under £1,000 a head!

Warwick Treasure Hunt - Including Christmas lunch at the castle

D&S Events last month launched the Warwick Treasure Hunt, from just £69 per head which includes entrance to Warwick Castle (http://www.dandsevents.co.uk/Newsletters/newsletter-Sep08.html). During December you can add Christmas lunch at the castle, an unforgettable experience from just £26. 

Of course the D&S Events team will also be delighted to arrange evening dinner and/or hotel accommodation at a range of hotels and restaurants in the town.

Driver of the Year

September also saw us deliver, for the 4th consecutive year, a driver of the year event for a major logistics and drinks delivery company.  This was the first time however that they had used our superb Donington Park facility and the client was extremely happy with the venue and indeed the event.  As well as competitions for the LGV 1 drivers, a forklift truck competition was run alongside with some fun driving activities also provided.

The evening BBQ and prize giving was accompanied by close magic and stage show from John Milner and then music by the Beatalls!

The entire event was once again hugely successful and plans are already beginning for next year’s event.

Ice Skating in London this Christmas

Time is running out and restaurants are filling rapidly, despite the hard times!  We should know as we are busy planning several events for our clients and this year a winter wonderland themed event in London seems to be very popular.  Start your day with a traditional breakfast before setting off by bus, tube, river taxi and shank’s pony to discover many of the sights of Christmas in our capital city.  Take in an ice skating session at the Natural History museum with a light lunch at the ice bar before resuming your London tour. End with an early evening dinner and prize giving at one of many superb eateries in the capital such as Langans or the Rainforest Café for example. Christmas@dandsevents.co.uk

Find out more about F1 at Donington Park 2010?
