The team at D&S Events has not only been designing and building 4x4 courses for many years but has a wealth of experience in designing and delivering 4x4 training courses to corporate and fleet drivers both on road and off road, including trailer towing, winching and recovery courses.
A variety of 4x4 course design and build projects have been seen at the Transport Research Laboratory, the London Motorshow in 1997, the Adventure Zone at the Birmingham Motorshow in 1998 and then the ‘Largest 4x4 course in the World’ at the 2004 Birmingham Motorshow. This saw 50,000 people and over 12,000 cars drive around the course over the 12 days of the show. It was built in a 72-acre woodland and included a drive through a pond, several steep climbs including the 8 metre high ‘Edge’ with its 39-degree ascent/descent.
The team then moved on to build and subsequently run the 4x4 course at the Prodrive test facility in Warwickshire before also taking over the existing 4x4 course within the Royal Showground at Stoneleigh in Warwickshire. This facility is completed with meeting and conference facilities, full catering, on site hotel as well as a variety of other driving areas. This site is perfect for all of your 4x4 training needs.
And as you may suspect, with the new facilities at Donington Park we have again created a 4x4 circuit here which we operate and maintain.
D&S Events is a member of the British Off Road Driving Association (BORDA) and as such up holds their codes of practice to maintain the highest standards in professional 4x4 and Off Road Driver Training.
